PAUL NELSON (picture taker )
Paul is a freelance photographer whose photos portray his passion for travel and life. Coming from a very talented and artistic family Paul has always had good taste and an eye for beautiful things. His long term passion for photography finally converted into a business after Paul became inseparable from his camera, bringing it even to a grocery store. His humble nature made it impossible to show off his photography and that’s when his wife took matters into her own hands. It wasn’t until she started the business and displayed his photography on the website that he started to get the recognition he deserved. He is a graduate of The Photography Institute. He’s constantly learning and exploring various styles from world’s top photographers. Never without his camera, he always searches for the next great moment and photographic challenge and looking forward to capturing life’s special moments. In his life he’s been blessed with finding a true soul mate, having two incredible children, and doing what he loves for a living. Since he embarked on this journey he feels very privileged to be chosen by couples to be a part of their journey together.
SYLVIA NELSON (your “go to” person)
Without a clear destination in mind Sylvia started Paul Nelson Images in efforts to showcase her husband’s talent and beautiful work. Sylvia quickly found herself with many roles, running the logistics of a business, designing a website, and creating albums that not only feature the breath taking work of her husband and the memories of the extraordinary couples, but she also ensures that the albums are unique and exclusive to each couple! Sylvia’s flare for album design and graphic design also places her as the creative director for PNI and she is the direct “go to” person for all things. Sylvia is constantly expanding her knowledge whether it is through traditional or online learning from top professionals, often with a baby on her hip.
Sylvia is a vivacious studio manager and a valuable photographer with an artistic ability to style photo shoots.
CATHY GORDON
Cathy is an avid photographer with a passion for children’s portraiture and event photography.
After years of providing family and friends with portraits for all occasions, in 2010 Cathy made a decision
to pursue photography as a full time career.
She is a student of Seneca College’s Independent Digital Photography program.
She continues to expand her portfolio through her association with Paul Nelson Images.
MARKUS ROSENTRETER (your film director)
Markus was born in Austria and after living around the world he decided to move to Toronto in 2010. Besides his passion for filming short films, he shot and directed various music videos, commercial films aired on TV, and much more. His vast achievements also include a short film screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010, as well as heading the Film Department of the SAE Institute Dubai, which is the world’s biggest media educator in the world. He has had the opportunity to work on various MTV Arabia, CTV, and MuchMusic projects with clients like Coca Cola, Blackberry, Virgin and H&M.
His passion and unique style in capturing moments got him interested in wedding videography. He aims to find an unique and creative approach to a wedding film instead of the more conservative wedding documentary. With a lot of ideas in mind, he’s looking forward to create something special for this very special day of a couple in love.
